Recite Me Access Toolbar
Our newly added Recite Me toolbar allows you to use our website in the way that works best for you.
By clicking the Accessibility Tools button, users can launch the Recite Me toolbar and open a text to speech option, reading support aids, a translation tool with over 100 languages and a variety of other key accessibility features.
Around the Building
The Berry Theatre is fully wheelchair accessible with flat level access to our Box Office, theatre auditorium and wheelchair accessible toilet and baby changing. There is a lift to our toilets and upper level seating.
Walking sticks, crutches and walking aids can be taken into any of our performance spaces. We also have spaces for mobility vehicles.
If you are bringing a pram or buggy to a show, please let us know so we can arrange storage for you.

Hearing Assistance
We offer two different types of infra-red hearing systems for enhanced hearing:
A headset for anyone who would like the sound on stage amplified
A necklace set to amplify sound on stage for those people who already wear a hearing aid.
Unless stated, we offer concessions for our professional programme for:

Free personal assistant tickets
On selected shows we are delighted to offer a free personal assistant ticket to anyone who needs additional support. To book please call our box office on 023 8065 2333.
Assistance Dogs
Hearing and guide dogs are welcome in all our spaces, please let our Box Office know when booking so we can make sure both you and your dog are comfy.
Theatre Buddies
Our Theatre Buddies are here to support you if don’t feel able, or comfortable coming to the theatre on your own.

Relaxed performances
Our relaxed performances create a warm welcome to people who might normally find it difficult attending the theatre.
This can include: people with learning disabilities, movement disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, other sensory, communication or neurological conditions, or those with young children or babies. At our relaxed performances you'll find:
Free personal assistant tickets to ensure audiences feel supported and have the richest theatre experience possible
Extra staff help with seating and access around the theatre
The lighting will be a little higher during the performance
No blackouts or strobe lighting
Our staff and the actors will have a relaxed attitude to noise (both voluntary and involuntary)
You can leave the auditorium at any point with staff to help you leave safely
